It has been so exciting to see so many people come to volunteer at the Son Center. Over the past several months we have seen "the windows of heaven open and pour out a blessing we cannot contain"! Both youth and adults have come to invest their time in GOD's mission in this area. What excites me most is that they will receive a blessing that is eternal. As I get opportunities to talk to people I use an example that you may have already heard from me, but I want to share it with the whole world. Here it is: If I had all the money in the world and said, "if you would give me $100 dollars of your money, I will reward you with 1 million dollars", would you take this offer? Of course everybody would accept, because it is a small investment for a large reward. The next question then is this: If I was the author and creator of life and I offered to give you 1 million+ years in an unimaginable paradise, would you give me 100 years of your life to me in exchange for eternal life? Again It is obvious that this is a very small investment, with a great reward. This is very simple, but Jesus ask this question: " Why do you work so hard for that which moth, rust or thieves will end up with, lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where they will be secure forever?" Mt. 6:19, 20. Unfortunately I spent 35 years of my life, living it for me. Then like the rich man in hell begging that someone go tell his brothers, I realized I only have this life to tell a lost world about a Saviour that loves them. What about you? I have to say, the most exciting life that exists on this planet, is to be a follower of Jesus. At the Son Center, we never know how the next bill is going to be paid, but GOD has been faithful since March 2003 to keep every bill paid. The reason March 2003 is so significant is because that is when I had exhausted all of my savings and every resource for money (my IRA's, stocks, everything). As I was crying out to GOD in prayer, actually it was more like whining and complaining, GOD spoke to me with a statement. HE said: "I supported more than a million people in the desert for 40 years." As I thought on that I realized that this is the same GOD and that HE is still just as able now as HE was then, and there was only my wife, 4 children in school and me. If HE could give water in the desert and food for about 3 million people, surely the 6 of us would not be a hard thing for HIM to take care of! I was amazed and ashamed at my lack of faith. I can't tell you what tomorrow will bring, but I do know that GOD and his SON are still on the throne and in control. I have no fear when I put myself in HIS hands. Even in trials and tribulations, I know that I am still more precious than a sparrow to HIM and HE knows my every need before I ask. I wouldn't trade that for anything in this world. Not for money, fame, material stuff, nothing! One of the scriptures that got me to quit my business in Columbus and move here was Matthew 6:19-21;"Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be." As I thought on that verse, I realized I needed to surrender totally to GOD's will. Jesus didn't ask for 10% of my life, HE didn't say: give your tithe and go to church and all will be well, but HE did say:"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."Luke 9:23. I will admit that at first I was fearful, but now excitement fills my every day. And the day that my last breath is taken in this body will be one of the most awesome exciting days of my life. What I feel burdened to share with all youth is the lack of information that I had as a youth. With almost no idea of who GOD or Jesus is, I went about doing what the world told me to do. I was very determined and successful at all that I did. I graduated college with an engineering degree and then eventually started my own company. I made great money, partied hard, did everything the world said I should do and that was supposed to make me happy. Only problem was that I really had no desire to live any more. When I went to a church service (only as a last resort) I heard about Jesus and it radically change my life. The point is that I had hit the bull’s-eye of what the world and my flesh considered success and it is nowhere near the contentment and satisfaction I have now with no money and a life devoted to service. I was never told this paradise on this earth, even with trials and persecutions, existed. If we would ask GOD first, what would you have me do, and not this is what I want to do, we could never be happier than doing what GOD created us for. For some, they will be doctors or lawyers, because that is what GOD created them to be. Others will serve as missionaries around the world or serve in their local area. We were designed to be humble servants wherever GOD sends us and there is great joy in that. I know that doesn’t make sense to our flesh, because the world teaches it’s all about me, I want more, bigger and better. I will copy one of my bible studies on here. What seems Right  When it comes to studying GOD’s word and character it seems the human intellect is the greatest hindrance! ---At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes. Matthew 11:25 1 Corinthians 1:27a  But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; Proverbs 12:15  The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkens unto counsel is wise. Proverbs 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. Proverbs 14:12  There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25  There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 21:2  Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD weighs the hearts. Proverbs 26:12  See a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope of a fool than of him. Proverbs 3:7  Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Proverbs 28:26  He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whosoever walks wisely, he shall be delivered.  It's hard to believe that the first quarter of 2009 is already gone. But GOD has given us great connections to other ministries that have the same vision. Our goal here is to evangelize and disciple youth, and we want to promote oneness in the body of Christ.

In one of the "call2all" meetings I was in this year, they gave the statistics about the age of those coming to Christ. The number of people over the age of 50 that will give their life to Christ from an outreach is less than 1%. The number of those that will respond under the age of 18 is 87%.

If you wanted to make an impact in any area, business, ministry or otherwise, obviously you would target the largest segment that would respond! After realizing that, now I know why GOD was specific when HE told me to start a youth ministry. If we can change the direction of the youth, we can change the direction of our country and ultimately the world. That then relates to the second specific command I was given, to help unite the body as one to fulfill John 17:21 "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be one in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

If everyone would work together, then the promise in scripture is: "the world will believe." We must first understand that in surrendering, the "me or I" is no longer in our vocabulary. It's all about Jesus. And the word "Christian" means to be "Christ like". Not - I received the Jesus promo package that gives me special privileges as if they are some type of bonus miles to be redeemed! We need to realize that we are all created different and unique, with special gifts and talents. When we all work together for the Kingdom, GOD is glorified. It is amazing to see how many other ministries are now working together. If you can think of some way that Son Center can help your ministry, or you would like to partner with us, please let us know.
